PHOENIX — Two Arizona State University saliva testing sites for COVID were closed down Thursday after its computers suffered malfunctions due to the rain.
According to the university, the two testing sites that closed are located at 56th and Van Buren streets which was open to the public. The second location that closed was the on-campus’s Lot 59 testing site where only ASU employees and students could get tested.
The university said there are plans to expand the Mesa Convention Center testing site for Thursday afternoon for those who couldn’t get tested due to the malfunctions.
The Phoenix Municipal Stadium site may open Friday but that has not been confirmed, ASU said.
ASU added that saliva testing has gone up as they have expanded testing sites and seen more demand in the past few weeks.
