Gilroy Police Investigate Attack on 9-Year-Old Boy Living With Autism – NBC Bay Area

Gilroy police are investigating an attack on a 9-year-old boy living with autism.

In the early morning hours Monday, two men — one of whom was in a relationship with the boy’s mother and lived in the house — battered the child while he was asleep, police said.

Both men then fled the scene, police said.

Officers responded to Saint Louise Hospital in Gilroy at about 2:10 a.m. to speak with the young man. The victim’s mother told officers she believed one of the men was her ex-boyfriend who still lived in the home.

Police say they’re now looking for both men for questioning, adding that it is still an active investigation.

Anyone with information should contact Officer Fraide at 408-846-0485. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call the Gilroy PD tip line at 408-846-0330.
