Over the past 30 years, Whiteman Airport has hosted free monthly airplane rides for young people in the community.
On Saturday, the airport hosted its 10,000th flight of this kind. It’s all part of the airport’s ongoing efforts to encourage the next generation of aviators to take to the skies.
