Today Capcom published another video showing a match between two of two characters that will be playable in Street Fighter 6, Blanka and JP.
As usual, the match is in the short three-round format and is played by the developers, providing a good showcase of what these two fighters play like in the new chapter of the popular fighting series.
Incidentally, Blanka and JP certainly are an odd pairing. The former has been around forever, since Street Fighter II. The latter is being introduced as a brand-new fighter in this game.
You can check the action out below.
If you’re not familiar with the two fighters, here’s a description for Blanka. Incidentally, the Ranger’s Hut stage showcased here is associated with him.
“A kindhearted defender of nature, Blanka has become an adventure tour guide, confident his intimate knowledge of the jungle will serve as a springboard to fame—and a comfortable life for his beloved mother.”
Next, you can learn more about JP, which incidentally stands for Johann Pavlovich.
“JP is the head of an international nonprofit organization responsible for many successful investment projects, and the man behind Nayshall’s present prosperity. He has a beloved cat named Cybele. JP takes control of the entire map from all angles with moves like the powerful void-creating Departure, the clone-deploying Torbalan, the Embrace grab, and the destructive Interdiction.”
Street Fighter 6 is releasing on June 2, 2023. This time around, it’s returning to its multiplatform nature, as it’ll launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It’ll also come to the arcades via Taito, albeit that version won’t probably leave Japan.
