A fence on a road leading to a city primary school has reportedly fallen on a child.
Staff at the Hempshill Hall Primary School, in Armstrong Road, said the fence was located on “one of the roads behind the school”.
The incident has involved a child.
A spokeswoman for the school said: “The fence is not school property; it’s not on our actual property.
“We have obviously spoken to the parents of the child that was affected.”
The nature of any potential injuries is unclear at this stage.
Council officials have been called to investigate.
The school spokeswoman said: “I can’t comment on exactly what happened.
“It’s happened this morning. We have dealt with it – we do not want to go into anymore detail.”
The school remains open.
