Police are investigating after a man was found with stab wounds

The victim, a man his thirties, was attacked at around 10.20pm yesterday (Wednesday) night in Meredith Close, The Meadows.

He sustained wounds to his back, hand and forehead and was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers, who will maintain a visible presence in the local area for much of today (Thursday), are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Nick Wood, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty assault that has left a man in hospital with significant injuries.

“We are working to understand the circumstances that led up to this attack and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed an altercation in the Meredith Close area last night.

“We treat any form of knife crime with the utmost seriousness and are working tirelessly to find the person of people responsible to this attack.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 775 of 27 October.”
