A 52-year-old man has appeared in court after a girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in Nottingham.
Anthony Parnell, 52, of no fixed address, is charged with sexual assault on a female.
Appearing before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 22, his case was sent to Nottingham Crown Court to be listed on August 12.
Officers were called to an incident on Maid Marian Way in Nottingham city centre at around 8.15pm on Tuesday, July 20.
A suspect was arrested 15 minutes later.
Detective Sergeant Lloyd Goucher of Nottinghamshire Police, had said: “Sexual assaults can have a lasting impact on victims and are treated with the utmost seriousness by Nottinghamshire Police.
“I am pleased we have been able to bring a charge so quickly in this case and our investigation continues.”
