Part of Nottingham city centre had to be cordoned off after a road sweeper caught fire.
Police and firefighters were spotted on Clumber Street, Nottingham, shortly before 7pm this evening (July 24).
Crews extinguished the blaze and have since reopened the road.
A Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We were called to a fire in a road sweeper.
“The call came in saying the incident was in Clumber Street at around 6.49pm.
“There was rubbish on fire in a small refuse vehicle and we used two hose reel jets.
“One crew attended but they have now left the scene.”
