Nottingham man Alex Belfield in court as interim ‘stalking protection order’ withdrawn

An interim application for a “Stalking Protection Order” against a man has been withdrawn.

The application was listed at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court this afternoon (June 11) but was withdrawn relating to ten people.

The application was being made by police against Alex Belfield, 40, who confirmed his address as the same as was provided on the last occasion. Nottinghamshire Live previously reported at a hearing in April the address was in Mapperley.

Mr Belfield, who was legally represented, attended a directions hearing before District Judge Leo Pyle at 2pm.

James Berry, the applicant’s counsel, was asked by the judge if his position for an interim stalking protection order is withdrawn in relation to all ten?

He replied: “Yes”.

The application for an interim stalking protection order was under the Stalking Protection Act 2019.

A further hearing is scheduled for July 19.
