LVCVA announces plans for NYE ‘explosive’ kickoff to 2021

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — While 2020’s New Year’s Eve will definitely look different than in years past, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has announced plans to ring in the new year with plenty of Las Vegas flair in “Kiss Off 2020.”

The biggest “blast” of the night will come at midnight, as a 2020 sign will be blown up, making way for 2021. Then, a massive 2021 sign will be revealed with a 12-15 minute pyrotechnic display including streamers, fireworks and confetti. The show will be livestreamed.

Remember you can watch all the New Year Eve’s celebrations on KLAS-TV, Channel 8 and in a special show “Las Vegas Countdown to 2021” which starts at 9 p.m. The show will be brought to viewers from the Las Vegas Valley’s newest casino, Circa, and be broadcast across 13 West Coast TV Markets.

The show will focus on donation efforts to help local communities who have faced a difficult year as well as celebrate the start of a new year with celebrity greetings, Las Vegas Entertainment acts and much more.
