Bonnie Raitt present his new album Just like that… and talked about his classic LP Just in time on CBS Saturday morning.

For the show’s “Saturday Sessions,” the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee performed “Made Up Mind” and “Livin’ for the Ones” by the Landreth brothers from the new album, along with her Just in time tap “Love letter”; Raitt’s 1989 album was recently listed on the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress.

“In a circumstantial way, it changed my life,” Raitt said of Just in time on CBS Saturday morning.

Raitt recorded Just like that… — her first album in six years — in Sausalito, Calif., in the summer of 2021. The musician produced the record herself and recorded alongside bassist James “Hutch” Hutchinson, drummer Ricky Fataar, keyboardist and backing vocalist Glenn Patscha and guitarist Kenny Greenberg.

“On this record, I wanted to stretch out,” Raitt noted in a statement. “I always want to find songs that excite me, and what’s different this time is that I tried styles and topics that I hadn’t touched on before.”

Raitt hits the road again this month to support Just like that…with planned dates throughout November. “The two and a half years I haven’t been able to play live have been really, really hard,” Raitt said. CBS Saturday morning from the pandemic break on tour. Raitt will receive support from Lucinda Williams, Mavis Staples and Marc Cohn on select dates.
