The wait is over. Budd Dairy Food Hall officially opens its doors at 4 p.m. today, Tuesday, April 6, at 1086 N. Fourth St. in Italian Village.
The latest concept from Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, Budd Dairy features nine chef-driven restaurant partners, along with its Hatch space, which will host a rotating selection of pop-up concepts.
Opening day partners include:
- Alphabetical Comfort Kitchen
- Boni: Filipino Street Food
- Cousins Maine Lobster
- Cluck Norris
- Modern Southern Table
- Tacos Rudos
- Hatch rotating kitchen: The Cheesecake Girl
Three centralized bars handle the booze for the operation – one on the ground floor, Simon’s Bar on the second floor, and a bar on the rooftop patio.
Budd Dairy will feature a unique service model. After guests pick a seat, servers will take their drink orders. To score some eats, guests will use their phones to scan a QR code to access each individual restaurant’s menu and order and pay through app Toast Tab. Guests will receive a text to pick up their food once it’s ready. In the age of COVID, the phone ordering system helps to eliminate lines.
Guests have a number of spots to enjoy their food and drink. In addition to the rooftop patio, the space has two other outdoor patios, an opening dining area on the ground floor, and more lounge-style seating on the second.
“The iconic Budd Dairy building has a history as a community gathering space dating back to the early 1900s, so we are excited to be reviving this function, while offering diverse food options in a fun atmosphere,” said General Manager Jeremy Hughes. “The food hall not only gives our chef partners a chance to grow their brands, it’s also an opportunity for Italian Village residents and visitors to experience the genuine hospitality for which Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is known.”
Budd Dairy Food Hall will be open from 4 – 11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 p.m. – 1 a.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. – 1 a.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Sundays.
