Jay and Mark were Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions at the time of his tragic death…and have won multiple championships together throughout their careers.
As we have already reported, Jay Briscoe, 38 – his real name is Jamin Pugh — died in a car crash Jan. 17 in Laurel, Delaware, after a 2019 Chevy Silverado collided head-on with his vehicle.
Tributes, donations and memories have poured in for the former wrestler and his family since the tragedy…with AEW itself free shirts to help raise money for the Pughs in the aftermath of the crash.
“The Pugh family has lost a husband, father, brother, son,” the promotion said after unveiling the shirts, “and in order to both honor Jay’s memory and support those left behind. , we’re giving away this ‘Reach For The Sky’ t-shirt with 100% of proceeds going to the Pugh family as they come to terms with this tragic loss.”
Wednesday would have been Jay’s 39th birthday.
