As part of the deal, Hutchins said he would become executive producer on the film and resume filming in January. Filming took place in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Baldwin, 64, and others could face criminal charges in Hutchins’ death, a New Mexico prosecutor said in September. Investigators have focused on determining who handled the gun Baldwin fired during a rehearsal, killing Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.
Baldwin denied responsibility for Hutchins’ death and said live bullets should never have been allowed on set.
Baldwin’s attorney, Luke Nikas, told Variety, “We are grateful to everyone who has helped resolve this tragic and painful situation.”
In August, Hutchins’ death was determined by the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator to be a accident following an autopsy and a review of law enforcement reports.
Earlier in April, pictures of Alec Baldwin just minutes after the deadly shooting was released by police.
In silent rehearsal footage, Baldwin is seen quickly drawing and aiming an F.lli Pietta 45 Long Colt revolver, the same gun that was later misfired.
Other body camera footage shows paramedics rushing to treat Hutchins and Souza on set before they are rushed into ambulances.
A video of a visibly distressed Baldwin speaking to an officer in his cowboy costume was also released. In the recording minutes after the shooting, the officer asks if Baldwin is okay, to which he replies, “No, I’m not, actually.”
Baldwin, in the video, confirms to officers, “I was holding the gun, yeah.” He continues to cooperate with the police despite his nervous condition and says, “My hands are shaking.”
The shooting occurred while Baldwin was rehearsing with what he believed was a safe weapon.
