bitch | Prince William to Host ‘Earthshot Retreat’ for Winners He’s Never Met

The 2022 Earthshot Award Ceremony was held in Boston in December. Prince William brought in celebrities like Ellie Goulding and Rami Malek to act as presenters and he spent his time with the Kennedys and local Massachusetts politicians. People almost missed the fact that Earthshot did not invite ANY of the Earthshot finalists or winners in Boston. No, this part was “virtual”. The award ceremony was not done in person. William wanted to hang out with celebrities in person, but of course he would never want to interact with environmentalists and peasant scientists. Please, of course not. So, funny story? He now invites all Earthshot winners to Windsor for the first-ever Earthshot retreat:

The Prince of Wales is set to meet the 2022 Earthshot Prize finalists at the first-ever Earthshot Fellowship Prize retreat in Windsor.

Prince William, who established the Earthshot Prize in 2020 to inspire individuals and businesses to find solutions to tackle climate change and other environmental issues, will host this year’s finalists at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor.

The retreat will bring together the 15 finalists and five winners to meet industry innovators and bring their projects and plans to life over a nine-month period.

The week-long summit will see finalists meet Christiana Figueres, Earthshot Prize Board Chair and former United Nations leader, and Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim, activist, geographer and Earthshot Prize Board Member. Finalists will also participate in a forum in London where they can connect with specific partners and funders to see how they can build their projects.

Announcing the event, Earthshot Prize confirmed: “The Retreat is a core part of the new Earthshot Prize Fellowship Program, a unique accelerator designed by global design firm IDEO, to help Earthshot Prize finalists develop their solutions in opening up new avenues for market, finance and great partnerships. The 15 finalists will participate in the nine-month program to help them grow in scale and impact through strategic support and ambitious collaborations with the Global Earthshot Prize Alliance of 48 companies, NGOs and philanthropists.

Someone at KP is reading Celebitchy, I swear to god. This is the point I made in December – that it was important to put these environmentalists, scientists, innovators and financiers in the same room, because you never know where the next big idea, the next big collaboration or the next big project. Earthshot’s purpose should be for William as a facilitator – to put smart people and money people in the same room and see what collaborations and ideas happen. Instead, the Earthshot Prize is nothing more than William’s exercise in pathetic vanity and a chance for him to appear powerful and important without doing anything. Anyway, this “Earthshot Summit” is what he should have done in the first place but he was too stupid. Never mind!
