EXCLUSIVE: chase stokes (External banks) and Sidney Taylor (chinese born american) are set to dominate YA romance Marked Men from the director Nick Cassavetes (Notebook).
The film written by Sharon Soboil (After our fall) is based on the New York Times and USA Today bestselling novel Ruler through Jay Crownover — the first in its successful series Marked Men, which has been translated into 11 languages. It is being sold worldwide by Voltage Pictures, which is currently placing it in front of buyers.

Cassavetes is best known for his feature film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ beloved romance. Notebook, starring Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling. He also wrote and directed the family drama My Sister’s Keeperwith Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin, and directed the hit comedy The other womanalso featuring Diaz alongside Leslie Mann and Kate Upton.
Stokes currently stars in the hit YA series External bankswhich earned No. 1 on the Nielsen Streaming Rankings in its second season and is back for its third on February 23. He recently wrapped production on the Steve Barnett-directed thriller. a valiant from Monarch Media and will next appear alongside Joey King in the Netflix fantasy film directed by McG ugly, based on the international bestseller of the same name by Scott Westerfeld. He has also been tapped for a lead role in the upcoming feature film. The music brought me herewhich Gurinder Chadha is directing from a screenplay by Oscar winner Irwin Winkler and Jose Ruisanchez.
Taylor has previously starred in Just Add Magic: Mystery City – Prime Video’s sequel to its most successful original children’s series, Just add magic.
