Remember last week when I got off balance writing about Delightful Christmas Stuff? Now it’s Hanukkah’s turn to go ALL CAPS FESTIVE!
I am happy to see that Target went all out for Hanukkah this year, including a wide variety of options for your petsAs these Hanukkah themed tennis balls for your dogand a set of eight toys for your cat. They also have CUTE Hanukkah socks and these very cozy pajamas. Speaking of themed outfits, I also dig this very understated “Hanukkah vibes” sweatshirt by Hey Alma! But perhaps a more important question is: How about a jelly donut handbag??
While we’re talking about food, someone really should buy this Latkes and Lights candle from Homesick, which promises top notes of “baked apple, butter and potato”, and makes me hungry, even in theory. And speaking of latkes, if you need someone to recommend Russ & Daughters mail order latkes, I’m here to do it too. While we’re talking about snacks, Zingerman’s has a very tasty special Hanukkah gift box that looks VERY delicious, and I could also fetch virtually everything in Katz’s Delicatessen Hanukkah dinner, which you can also order by mail order. Speaking of latkes, do you need Love You a Latke sweater earrings? PERHAPS. And it’s a VERY cute tea towel with a latke recipe on it if you prefer something more practical. (I think it would also make a nice impression, tbh.)
I’m sure, if you’re celebrating Hanukkah, you probably already have a menorah, but maybe you also want have a giant inflatable?!?! What would you say one (not inflatable!) that is a dinosaur? What about one that’s all bagels? (It’s from an Etsy shop that has LOTS of whimsical menorahs.) If, on the other hand, you are looking for something beautiful but also very very expensive — and why not?! – this The ceramic Tree of Life menorah is so beautiful and yes it’s also $1250 but you would have it forever! If you’re REALLY looking to splash out, here’s a vintage bronze from Erté and it’s $11,000.00 (!!!) and it’s really beautiful. This the vintage “Gio Ponti-style” menorah is SO CHIC and feels relatively reasonable at $3000. The Jewish Museum, where I found these last three, has so many interesting menorahs – this one looks like a banana!
Etsy continues to be a great resource for great wrapping paper — it’s really prettyand so that’s it. This one looks GORGEOUS and I have a feeling you could use it for birthdays too and other events.
Finally, before we get to the other delights widget, I have a feeling many of you will be interested to know that there is a All from a loving family picture book now, called All from a loving Hanukkah family. (If you have never read the All from a loving family book series, it’s so charming and wonderful.) I gasped with joy when I saw the news!
Speaking of charming and wonderful, in addition to all the goodies above:
I realize I’m really into cutie-themed pajamas here, but, listen, this is the perfect time to get cozy.
