Jonathan Majors will ‘probably’ play Dennis Rodman in an upcoming film, which tells the story of the basketball star’s infamous trip to Vegas during the 1998 NBA Championship

According to reports, the Lovecraft Country star is in serious talks to play the role of Denis Rodman in an upcoming film about the athlete’s 1998 trip to Sin City. Former Chicago Bulls star Denis Rodman, 61, was infamous for being the NBA’s bad boy in its heyday and got everyone talking after he mysteriously disappeared for 48 hours in that year’s basketball championship final. Next Michael Jordan’biopic the last dance, who briefly covered the topic, a script for the story was greenlit and purchased by Lionsgate.
Reports state negotiations with Jonathan Majors, 33, have started and are “going in the right direction”, although nothing is finalized. The artist is said to be excited about the project and fully on board. Majors rose to prominence for his acting skills after his breakout role in the HBO sci-fi series Lovecraft Countrywhich leads to her first Emmy nomination. Since then, the actor has starred in the Produced by Jay-Z hit netflix movie The more they fall.
Majors hit another high after singing to be part of the Marvel Universe. The actor made his debut as Kang the Conqueror in the Loki series and will reprise the role in subsequent films.
Majors also has a number of upcoming projects in the next two years, starring US Navy fighter pilot Jesse Brown in Black Label Media’s war epic Dedication, as well as the sworn enemy of Adonis Creed in the film Creed III next to Michael B. Jordan.
48 hours in Vegasexecutive produced by Rodman, will tell a dramatic version of the athlete’s budding relationship with the Bulls’ assistant general manager at the time – who was with the star at the time of his disappearance. Apparently the story will also feature characters representing the model Carmen Electrawho Rodman were dating at the time, along with the famous NBA coach Phil Jackson.
