Kanye West may be denied entry to Australia to meet new in-laws due to past anti-Semitic comments
Kanye West keep on going to pay for his anti-Semitic remarks.
On Wednesday (January 25), Australian government officials revealed that the Chicago rapper could possibly be banned from entering the country to meet his new in-laws due to his previous anti-Semitic comments. Apparently, Kanye West plans to go to by Bianca Censori hometown of Melbourne to spend time with loved ones. As you may know, the music mogul got married Bianca Censori earlier this month, apparently without filing a marriage certificate. Australian Minister of Education, Jason Claire, claims that if the 45-year-old applies for a visa, he is likely to be rejected. The Land Down Under has a reported history of decline of people with anti-Semitic beliefs.
Kanye West now has a long list of accolades he lost due to anti-Semitic remarks he made last year. As previously reported, the fashion designer recorded a episode of “The Shop”, however, footage was never released due to his disturbing comments during filming. During this time, Maverick Carterthe CEO of Spring Hill Company, released a statement and said:
“We recorded an episode of The Shop with Kanye West. Kanye was booked weeks ago and after speaking directly to Kanye the day before the taping I thought he was capable of having a respectful discussion and that he was ready to respond to all of his recent comments, unfortunately he used The Shop to reiterate more extremely dangerous hate speech and stereotyping.
Maverick Carter continued:
“We have made the decision not to air this episode or any of Kanye’s remarks. While The Shop embraces thoughtful speech and differing opinions, we have zero tolerance for hate speech of any kind and will never allow that our channels are used to promote hate.
Carter added:
“I take full responsibility for believing that Kanye wanted a different conversation and I apologize to our guests and our team. Hate speech should never have an audience.
West was also suspended from Twitter for his anti-Semitic comments, which were the least of his worries. As you may remember, the Grammy Award winner lost his billionaire status after companies such as Adidas and JPMorgan Chase & Co. caught wind of his controversial comments and ended their partnership with West.
October 12 West addressed the brands and said:
“Hey, if you’re calling someone on a bad deal, that means you’re anti-Semitic. I’m glad I crossed the line on this idea so we can talk openly about things like getting canceled by a bank.

According to reports, West has an ongoing battle with Australian Jewish groups, who have already called for him to be denied entry if he applies for a visa. Australian Jewish Community Co-Lead Executive Council Pierre Wertheim said:
“We have argued that this particular individual does not meet the character test and that it would be in the national interest not to grant him a visa and we have set out our reasons in detail.”
