Jim Bob raised his children believing they were put on earth for two reasons: to praise Jesus and to make babies.
The women of the Duggar community learn from an early age that the best way for them to show their gratitude to God is to populate the planet with evangelicals.
So we guess it’s no surprise that the cubs’ outing has become something of a competition between some of the more pious ladies in the Duggars’ inner circle.
Take, for example, the strange case of Kendra and Christina Caldwell.
Kendra, as you probably know, is the wife of Joseph Duggar.
His mother, Christina, is a multiple grandmother at the ripe old age of 43.
Christina has given birth to two children since Kendra married Joe.
Kendra has welcomed three children during the same period, and fans often joke that mother and daughter are in competition to see who can raise the biggest family.
But according to a new report from YouTuber Katie Joy, there might be some truth behind those jokes.
“For women, their womb and their fertility are a sign that God loves them more. Women often want to surpass themselves and even compete with their daughters. Joy wrote on her Instagram page earlier this week.
“For years, fans watched Christina Caldwell’s pregnancy announcements after Kendra got pregnant with one eye out,” she continued.
“Christina already had seven children, was in her 40s, she and Paul were struggling financially, yet she got pregnant twice during Kendra’s pregnancies.”
Insiders close to the situation seem to confirm Joy’s suspicions that Kendra and Christina consider it their sacred duty to give birth to as many children as humanly possible.
“They’re obsessed with pregnancy,” a source said of the women at the Institute for Basic Life Principles, the notoriously sleazy organization that dictates many of the Duggars’ beliefs.
“Especially getting pregnant at the same time as their oldest daughters.”
Of course, Kendra and Christina will never confirm that they are in competition with each other.
In fact, they may not be aware of it themselves.
But the fact that Christina has children younger than her eldest grandson is just one of many recent signs that the weirdness in the Duggars community goes far beyond the famous family itself.
