The Mars Candy Company is replacing its M&M’s spokespersons with Maya Rudolph amid backlash over its new ‘women only’ M&M’s packaging.

Congratulations Mars, you just made me boycott your chocolate. It’s big !!!

If you recall, the drama began in 2015 when Mars hinted that the two spokespersons were in a same-sex relationship.

The backlash intensified last January after Mars made drastic changes to the shoes of the two female candies. The brown candy swapped her pumps for kitten heels while the green candy swapped her go-go boots for sneakers.
The company also added a new purple candy – a woman who wore combat boots.

The changes were part of Mars Candy’s effort to be more diverse and inclusive.
After Fox News host Tucker Carlson slammed the new “women only” candy packaging, Mars announced that Saturday Night Live veteran Maya Rudolph would replace all M&Ms spokespersons.
Rudolph will make his debut as the new spokesperson for M&M during Super Bowl 2023.
“We are confident that Ms. Rudolph will champion the power of pleasure to create a world where everyone belongs,” Mars said.
