The decomposing body of a MAN has been found in the water as cops continue to search for clues in an attempt to identify his remains.
A construction worker made the chilling discovery after arriving to work at Clear Creek Bayou in Houston, Texas June 22.
Police said the man appeared to be wearing a polo shirt and hospital gowns, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Cops said it appeared the body was in the “final stages of decomposition.”
The man has not been identified and it is unclear how long he was in the water before being found.
Officers continue to search for clues as they attempt to identify the remains.
Cops recovered the body from the water and it was taken to the Harris County Institute of Medical Examiners for an autopsy.

This comes after officers from Chattanooga, Tennessee found the body of a man in the driver’s seat of a blue Mitsubishi Mirage on June 20.
He was identified as Samuel Moore Jr, 48, and cops said his body was in the ‘final stages of decomposition’. NewsChannel9 reports.
Homicide detectives said the scene at an intersection appeared “suspicious” before the remains were identified.
CCTV footage from the area revealed two men were inside the car when it pulled into a driveway on June 16.
A man, later identified as Michael Orr, was seen exiting the passenger side of the car.
Footage showed Moore never got out of the car after Orr left.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the homicide after conducting an autopsy.
Orr has now been charged with criminal homicide, the Chattanooga Police Department confirmed.
And the Oregon cops revealed that The highly decomposed body of Don Askey was found in a field – years after being reported missing.
Her body was found on June 7 after police responded to a report of suspicious circumstances.
The 52-year-old had been missing since 2015.
