Nipsey Hussle – The late rapper’s estate allegedly breached contract with songwriter over unpaid ‘Hussle & Motivate’ royalties
The Family of Nipsey Hussle found themselves at the center of a new legal battle.
Songwriter Tasleema Yasin requested that the probate trial for Nipsey Hussle not to be fired, RadarOnline reports.
The musician claimed to have collaborated with the late rapper and claims that Sam Asghedomthe rapper’s brother, “not fully honoured” his promise to repay any amount due. Next by Nipsey Hussle murder, Sam Asghedom was appointed administrator of the artist’s estate, placing him in charge of managing all debts and collecting all money.

Tasleema Yasin filed a lawsuit against by Nipsey Hussle estate in 2019, claiming she was entitled to a revenue share from her song, “Hussle & Motivate.” She claimed to have written and performed on the 2016 single.
According Tasleema Yasinshe performed the
“a rising four-note vocal phrase featured throughout the length of the song, as well as a countermelody in my upper register featured prominently during the song’s chorus.”
She identified herself as a creditor who collaborated with Nipsey on projects
“for which he intended to pay her but never had the chance to do so during his lifetime and which, after his death, his estate administrators have not fully honored to this day despite promises of to do so and Yasin’s belief in good faith and acceptance of their promises to do so.”
Yasin announced in March that she was dropping the lawsuit against the estate. However, the musical artist claimed in recently filed court documents that the estate broke their promises and, to this day, are in breach of their contract and agreements.
Sam Asghedom recently advised the court that all creditor claims, including by Yasinhad been settled.
Yasin requested that the judge delay her decision on resolving the case until she has received full payment.
