Rapper Migos Gap (b. Kiari Kendrell Cephus), 30, jumped on his Twitter account to express his dark emotions, just over a month after his cousin, To take offIt’s tragic death. “In a Dark Place,” the “Walk It Talk It” singer wrote December 8. Additionally, Offset added a major emoji along with the tweet.

Many of Offset’s 4.4 million subscribers took to the comments section to offer their condolences and support, although he did not specify what he was referring to. “I pray for you and the family. lose someone so close can turn your whole world upside down. Know that he is now your guardian angel. He is always with you”, a fan wrote. While another fan also wrote some kind words for the grieving artist. “I’m sorry you’re going through this. you have a beautiful wife [Cardi B] and children to help you through these difficult times. Try to use the happy memories you have to get by. He was a lovely man. Help his legacy shine. Sending love from England to you and your family,” the supporter commented.
Over the weekend of December 3, the 30-year-old also cry his late cousin by Twitter. “I miss you bra trying to get through the pain” he wrote, as well as a photo taken by a Takeoff fan. And earlier, on November 25, the father of five tweeted a video of Takeoff dancing and singing. “THE TRUTH [goat emoji]….ROCKET MAN,” Offset wrote. The Georgia native also put his grief online once again on November 21, with a throwback photo of the late Migos member. “I love you so much”, he tweetedas well as a rocket emoji.

The plethora of tributes for Takeoff comes just over a month after the young rap icon was shot and killed November 1. The 28-year-old was shot dead outside 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston, Texas by TMZ. At the time of his death, Takeoff was with his colleague and cousin Migos, Quavo31. Takeoff’s lawyer, Drew Findlingconfirmed the news of his death in a statement to HollywoodLife. “Along with my company, I am devastated by the tragic death of Kirshnik Ball, known to his fans as Takeoff,” he said. “Takeoff was not only a brilliant musical artist with unlimited talent, but also a uniquely kind and gentle soul. He will be sorely missed now and always.
A month later Sudden passing of takeoff, Patrick Xavier Clark33 years old, was arrested and charged for his murder. Additionally, a 22-year-old man named Cameron Joshua was also charged with illegal possession of a weapon on the same day. Houston Police Chief Trojan Finner confirmed the news during a press conference on December 2. “We’ve lost a good man,” Finner told the conference. “I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting him. Everyone, of the hundreds of people I spoke to, spoke of what a great person he was. I want to thank the family and everyone else for their patience and allowing us to work through the evidence and facts.
Later, a sergeant revealed details of the events leading up to the fatal shot on the night of November 1. “The event was a private party. There was a lucrative dice game that took place at the event. There was an argument which subsequently occurred outside the bowling alley which led to shooting,” he said. The police official also clarified that the late musician was “not involved in the argument” and was an “innocent bystander.”
