IT recently appeared as a guest on by Shannon Sharpe podcast Club Shay Shay. And the rapper shared his thoughts on his son Kings recent behavior. TI also shared a stark reminder for other adults criticizing his parenting skills.
TI got candid about his son, King Harris’ recent behavior
The ‘King of the South’ was quick to share his thoughts on his son’s recent behavior – many examples of which have gone viral on social media. And portray a more reckless side of the teenager.
I love him through it – whatever he’s going through, I love him through it. And I can’t say he’s a good enough boy.
The rapper went on to explain that the media didn’t highlight his son’s positive accomplishments enough. And instead, cover more negative stories.
But the media doesn’t talk about the good enough… All they do is focus on the bad because it gets them more clicks. And he’s young so I try to make him aware of that.
TI went on to explain that he rather accepts his son as he is. Then, force him to adjust to her expectations of him.
I’m just trying to guide him. But he is improving day by day.
The rapper even shared a reminder for other parents who are quick to criticize.
We all have bada** children!
Social media reacts to TI’s thoughts on his son and his behavior
Many viewers of the clip had mixed reactions to TI’s thoughts. Some agreed with the rapper’s stance and applauded his accomplishments as a parent.
He has 6 children and only one of them is problematic, 1 out of 6 is not bad AT ALL!
You can raise your kids to be perfect, but they always do what they want to do… so I agree with him…
You all act like you don’t have mean kids around you, no matter what your parents do or say they’re going to rebel. Stop blaming parents for what these adult kids are doing. No matter how hard you try, the kids will try to prove you wrong. Stop Acting Like You Really Know This Man
While others continued to criticize him and King.
I promise you if Deja made half the mess that boy made, Tip would disown her.
He acts the way he does because his parents don’t hold him accountable
We just want him to stop acting like he’s so bad and pulled him out of the mud when he was literally born with a silver spoon in his mouth and lived in a gated community.
King Harris and his viral behavior
As The shadow room previously reported, King Harris previously had a heated internet exchange with Charleston White in October. The 18-year-old was also arrested in September for failing to wear a seatbelt in a moving vehicle, according to the outlet.
Harris was quick to speak out against those who criticized him for “trying to be a gangsta.”
Everyone who says n***** is trying to be gangsta. I’m not asking the police to arrest me, y’all b******* a**n*****.
Roommates, what do you think?
