In the budgets for 2023, in a number of Belarusian regions and districts, expenses under the articles “National defense” and “Ensuring mobilization preparation and mobilization” increased several times:

◼️Brest region — $623,345. This is 17.5% more than last year;

◼️ Mogilev region — $3,568,821. A 500% increase compared to 2022;

◼️ Osypovych district — $76,565. This amount is 9,361% more than a year earlier;

◼️ Chaussky district — $80,195. This year, the budget increased by 15,486%;

◼️ Pinsk — $1,663,758. Growth by 2,700%.

It is not yet known what this money will be used for. Some Belarusian mass media do not associate this with plans for mobilization. Probably, they plan to spend the funds on exercises, the development of local military infrastructure and the purchase of equipment.
