Zelensky signed the law on strengthening responsibility for desertion and disobedience of military personnel in Ukraine
We are talking about draft law no8271which increases the criminal liability of military personnel for failure to comply with combat orders, escape from the battlefield or a military unit.
The document, in particular, excludes the possibility of exempting servicemen from punishment or assigning them a milder punishment than is provided for by the current Criminal Code of Ukraine (disobedience; failure to comply with an order; threat or violence against a superior; voluntary abandonment of the place of duty; desertion, voluntary abandonment of the battlefield or refusal to act with a weapon).
