You’ll notice lower humidity and abundance of sunshine Wednesday. Dry air warms up efficiently, so expect highs back in the mid 80s under that sunny sky.
How long will the dry air and sunshine stick around?
The sunny, dry weather will be with us through Friday. Low temperatures will be near 60 with highs in the mid 80s.
What’s the outlook for Mother’s Day weekend?
A strong Gulf breeze will bring back the clouds, humidity, and a small chance for showers and thunderstorms. A weak disturbance passing through Saturday will give us a 30% chance for rain, but the rain chance drops to 20% on Mom’s special day. Saturday morning’s lows will dip into the upper 60s with highs in the mid 80s. It will be even stickier on Mother’s Day with lows in the mid 70s and highs near 90. Both days will be breezy with south winds at 15-25 mph. There is a chance that a front coming down the Plains could make it all the way to Houston by Mother’s Day, and if that does occur, the rain chance will go up for Sunday.
