Man shot on Katy Freeway after pulling gun out on driver during minor car accident, police say

HOUSTON – A man was shot on the Katy Freeway Wednesday after police say he pulled out a gun on another driver.

According to Hedwig Village police, two drivers were involved in a minor traffic accident around 8 a.m.

Things escalated, and the drivers got into a fight. One of them pulled out a gun.

The driver who initially pulled out the weapon ended up getting shot. It was not clear if he was injured by his own gun or if the other driver had one as well.

The injured man was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.

No charges have been filed against either driver at this time.
