On the night of January 26, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones. The defense forces all shot down 24 “Shahedas”.

“”On the night of January 26, the Russian occupiers resumed attacks on Ukraine with Iranian-made kamikaze drones “Shahed-136/131″. Attack UAVs were launched from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov,” the message reads.
According to preliminary data, the enemy used 24 “Shaheda”. All 24 were destroyed by anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft, mobile fire groups of the Air Force in cooperation with air defense units of other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that most of the kamikaze drones were destroyed in the center of the country – in the area of responsibility of the “Center” air command. In the Kyiv City Military Administration as well reported about the downing of about 15 Shaheds over Kyiv.
“At night, Kyiv was subjected to another air attack by the enemy. About 15 enemy UAVs were shot down in the airspace. Previously, there were no victims and no hits to the infrastructure,” Serhiy Popko, head of the KMVA, said.
