Resumption of air traffic between Russia and Georgia – what is known
On January 19, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the desire of leading politicians of Georgia to restore air traffic between Tbilisi and Moscow. The spokesman of the ministry, Oleh Nikolenko, noted at the time that the two countries exchanged curtseys against the backdrop of Russia’s unpunished crimes against the Georgian people and the occupation of part of Georgian territory.
He said that such pro-Russian rhetoric does not correspond to the spirit of friendly and strategic relations between Ukraine and Georgia, and contradicts Georgia’s course to become a member of the European Union.
