Bodycam video shows what led up to banning of MSNBC from Rittenhouse trial

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) — You may remember MSNBC was banned from the Kenosha County Courthouse during the Kyle Rittenhouse trial.

Newly released body camera video shows what led up to the ban.

James Morrison was stopped by Kenosha police. They say he ran a red light while driving behind the vehicle that was transporting the jurors.

Morrison said he was an MSNBC employee and was instructed to follow the jurors.

Police spoke to the booking producer who gave him the order.

“We were keeping a distance just to see where people involved in the trial are. By no means were we trying to get in contact with any of the jury members.”

In a statement, NBC described Morrison as a freelancer and denied he intended to contact or photograph the jurors, but didn’t deny he was following them.
